Artois Design is the graphic design studio of Nancy Driscoll. An innovative design boutique, Artois Design is equipped to serve both large and small clients with creative solutions using both new and traditional media and technology. With over twenty-five years’ of experience in the graphic design field, Nancy is continually reinventing her skills and talents to offer a fresh, contemporary approach that rests firmly on trusted design principles. Nancy is spirited about her savviness for creative visual problem solving, and affirms in earnest, “It’s how my brain works!”

Nancy Driscoll received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. She then went on to serve on the design staffs of the University of Rochester, D.J. Moore Advertising, and Weekly Reader corporation. At Weekly Reader, she was the Art Director for the highly successful U.S. Kids magazine.

As a freelance designer, Nancy has worked for a large variety of clients including Anthem Health Services, Cobblestone Publishing, Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., Kirchoff/Wohlberg, and Reader’s Digest. Under Nancy’s art direction, Calliope magazine (Cobblestone Publishing) won the 1998 EdPress award for the design of “The Theater in Ancient Greece” issue.

Her influences are varied and include Jane Austen, the Bauhaus School, A.M. Cassandre, Albrecht Dürer, Milton Glaser, Herbert Matter, Paul Rand, Bruce Springsteen, and Bradbury Thompson.

A native of New York, Nancy resides in Connecticut with her husband and three children. In addition to the arts, Nancy enjoys skiing and contemplative walks with her dog.
